"Stop, Drop, and Roll Into Fire Safety!"

When it comes to kids and fire safety, the best approach is making it memorable, fun, and practical. Whether they’re helping in the kitchen, lighting candles during a birthday, or just curious about matches (because let’s be honest, kids are curious), knowing what to do can save lives.
Here’s how you can help kids stay fire smart:
Make a Game Out of It: Teach “Stop, Drop, and Roll” through silly songs or role-play drills.
Have a Fire Escape Plan: Walk through your home and practice safe exits with your child. Bonus: let them draw a "Fire Map" with crayons!
Smoke Alarms Save Lives: Test them monthly and explain to kids what that beep means.
Keep Little Hands Away: Store lighters, candles, and matches well out of reach.
Teach the “PASS” Method for Fire Extinguishers: Older kids and adults should learn how to use a fire extinguisher using the simple PASS method:
Pull the pin
Aim the nozzle at the base of the fire
Squeeze the handle
Sweep side to side
Remember, fire safety isn’t about fear — it’s about confidence and preparedness. Make safety a family affair!
